# Total Students

> Interpret the student total and open the organization student list.

# Total students

This card shows student accounts counted for the organization or selected subscription context. Open it to review the detailed list.

Before adding a student, check license capacity and search for an existing account to avoid duplicates.

If the detailed list appears lower than the card, clear search, class, and section filters before investigating further.
