# Quickstart

> Sign in to Chanakya AI, identify your role workspace, and complete the safest first task.

# Start using Chanakya AI

You do not need to install software. Chanakya AI runs in a modern web browser and opens the workspace assigned to your account.

## Before you sign in

Make sure you have:

* The **User Id** and temporary or current password provided by your school or organization.
* A current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox.
* A stable internet connection, especially when uploading answer images or papers.
* The correct Chanakya AI portal link from your organization.

  Keep your password private. Chanakya AI support, your teacher, and these docs will never ask you to post a password in a screenshot or public message.

## Sign in

    Open the [Chanakya AI portal](https://edu.aichanakya.in/).
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your User Id">
    Use the identifier exactly as your organization provided it. It may be different from your email address.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter your password">
    Passwords are case-sensitive. Use the show-password control only when nobody else can see your screen.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Login">
    After authentication, Chanakya AI opens the workspace for your assigned role.

## Choose your first task

## If the workspace looks different

Your role, assigned sections, enabled features, and subscription determine what appears in navigation. A missing feature is not necessarily an error.

Try these checks:

1. Confirm that you used the intended account.
2. Sign out and sign in again after an administrator changes your role or assignments.
3. Check whether your organization has enabled the feature.
4. Ask your teacher or administrator to verify access.
