Troubleshoot a problem
Start with the smallest check that matches what you see. Do not repeat an upload, submission, or account change while the first request is still processing.
What should I do if I cannot sign in?
First, confirm that you are using the correct portal and the exact User Id provided by your school.
- Confirm that you opened the Chanakya AI portal.
- Enter the User Id exactly as your school provided it. It may not be your email address.
- Check capitalization in the password.
- Ask an administrator to verify the account before requesting a reset.
Never send your password, a one-time code, or a screenshot containing a password to support.
Your role, school plan, assigned classes, and enabled features decide what appears.
- Sign out and sign in again after an administrator changes your access.
- Ask a Teacher about missing Student work or results.
- Ask an Administrator about missing sections, subjects, account access, or locked features.
- If the app says to contact an administrator to enable a feature, refreshing will not unlock it.
How do I fix an upload that does not work?
Check the accepted file type, confirm that the file opens, and wait for the current upload before trying again.
- Read the file types shown in the upload window.
- Do not mix a PDF with images in one upload.
- Open the file on your device and confirm that it is readable.
- On a phone, save a cloud file to the device before uploading it again.
- Keep the page open until the upload confirms completion.
See Upload requirements for preparation and replacement rules.
What should I do if processing appears stuck?
Statuses such as Uploading, Extracting, Generating Questions, Grading, and Analysing mean that work is still running.
- Wait for the status to change before starting the same action again.
- Reopen the list to check the latest status.
- If a failure status appears, note the assessment name, status, and approximate time.
- Contact the responsible Teacher or Administrator when the status does not recover.
See the Status reference for the next action for each state.
Why is a result or analysis unavailable?
A result can remain hidden while submission processing, marking, analysis, or Teacher review is incomplete.
- Students should check whether View analysis is available.
- Teachers should confirm that submissions were marked and reviewed.
- Administrators should check the assessment and submission status without publishing on the Teacher’s behalf unless school policy allows it.
How do I correct a class, section, subject, or Student?
Do not create duplicate work or a duplicate account to work around an assignment problem.
- Students should tell their Teacher.
- Teachers should ask an Administrator to correct section membership or subject assignment.
- Administrators should verify the person, class, section, and subject, make one change, then ask the affected person to sign in again.
What should I send to support?
Include your role, the page or action, the assessment or section name when relevant, the shown status or error, the approximate time, and what you expected.
Remove passwords, answer sheets, private contact details, full Student lists, and unrelated activity-log entries. See Privacy and data handling.
