Compare performance responsibly
Use comparable assessment scope, difficulty, marks, and time period. Note differences in completion and section size. Good comparisons answer a specific question, such as:- Did a section improve after reteaching?
- Which question caused difficulty across groups?
- Is a learner improving against their own earlier work?
Make a fair comparison
Record the assessment scope, total marks, completion rate, and number of learners. Compare the same measure across groups and state any difference in timing or difficulty.
Use comparisons to choose instructional support, not to label learners.
